This course is designed to help students understand the factors that influence behaviour and to learn how to take charge of one's own life. The focus will be on increasing self-awareness and knowledge as a stepping stone to personal growth. The class will deal with developing personal strengths, coping strategies, self-management, and personal goal attainment. Specific topics such as personal needs/rights/values, individual style, self-esteem/concept, and stress/time management will be explored.
